Removing the Deceased’s Name from Civil Records

After a death certificate is issued in Lebanon, the next step is removing the deceased’s name from the civil registry.

Steps:

  1. Request a Family Civil Extract (Ikhraj Qayd Aili) from the mukhtar.

  2. Submit it, along with the death certificate, to the Civil Status Office.

  3. Receive an updated Family Extract showing the deceased’s removal.

  4. Obtain the Inheritance Certificate (Hasr Irth) from the mukhtar, listing all heirs.
